Advertiser & Lending Disclosure
12M Loan is a loan connection and comparison service compensated by lenders — not a lender, broker of record, or agent of any lender. This page explains exactly how the money flows, what it influences, what it does not, and the commitments that follow from taking it.
What This Site Is
12mloan.com operates a lead connection service: you submit one loan request, and we transmit it to a network of independent, state-licensed lenders who may respond with offers. We do not lend, underwrite, set rates or terms, make credit decisions, or handle loan funds at any point. Every term you are offered — amount, APR, payment, fees — is set solely by the responding lender under the laws of your state, and your loan agreement, if you sign one, is with that lender alone.
How We Are Compensated
Lenders pay 12M Loan a referral fee when a request submitted through this site results in a connection or funded loan. This is the site's revenue model in full: borrowers are never charged to request, compare, decline, or use any page of this site. Referral compensation is a customer-acquisition cost lenders pay in place of advertising — the same lender typically prices a borrower identically whether the application arrives through this site or its own front door.
What Compensation Influences — and What It Cannot
Honesty requires both halves. Compensation influences which lenders participate in the network and can influence the order or prominence of offers where multiple lenders respond. It cannot and does not influence: the terms any lender offers you (set by their underwriting and your state's law), which lenders are licensed for your state (set by regulators), the editorial content of our guides (governed by the standards on the about page), or the independent lender comparison page, which profiles companies regardless of any relationship and receives nothing for their inclusion.
Important Lending Disclosures
This service is not available in all states, and submitting a request does not guarantee a connection with any lender or approval for any loan. Short-term installment loans are an expensive form of credit and are not a solution to long-term financial problems. All rates, payments, and totals shown anywhere on this site are estimates for illustration only. Representative example: a $2,000 loan repaid over 12 months at 149% APR costs approximately $257 per month and roughly $3,084 in total — your offer may differ substantially based on your lender, profile, and state. Late payments and non-payment may result in fees set by your lender and state law and may be reported to credit bureaus by lenders that report. Renewal policies are set by individual lenders; review them in the agreement before signing.
Your Choices
Every request is free to abandon at any step, every offer is free to decline, and comparison across this site, direct lenders, credit unions, and any other source is exactly what we recommend — the rates guide exists to make that comparison honest. Questions about this disclosure reach us through the contact page, and the data-handling side of the same story is the privacy policy.
